1. Introduction
Welcome to Kuwait Driving Theory. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding any data processed when you use our mobile applications on Android and iOS.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Our app operates primarily offline with client-side architecture. We do not require personal identification (such as your legal name, physical address, or phone number) to study driving theory or practice tests.
A. Anonymous Study Progress
Your question history, quiz attempts, simulator scores, bookmarks, and weak areas are stored locally on your device using a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.
B. Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
To improve app reliability and fix bugs, we use Google Firebase Crashlytics. This service collects anonymous diagnostic data, including:
- Device model and operating system version.
- App version and build number.
- Stack traces and error logs generated during an app crash.
C. Anonymous Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics with Privacy Consent Mode enabled. We collect aggregate, non-personally identifiable statistics (such as session duration, screen visits, and quiz completion rates) to understand feature usage and improve study content.
D. Advertising (If Enabled)
When advertisements are served via Google AdMob, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform (UMP) present a consent dialog for regional regulations (such as GDPR/CCPA). If you decline personalized ads, only contextual, non-personalized advertisements are displayed.
3. In-App Purchases
When you purchase lifetime access or subscription features (such as Ad Removal or Full Simulator Access), transactions are handled securely and directly by Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). We never receive or store your credit card or financial credentials.
4. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for learner drivers preparing for their driving theory examination (typically ages 17 and above). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your learning data is stored locally, you have complete control over it:
- You can reset all test attempts and scores at any time from within the app settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored learning progress and databases.
